Paint the Town Paisley: Summer's Prettiest Print

During the summer you see a lot of stripes, and maybe even some polka dots. But paisley is seriously summer's prettiest print. The way it swirls and blooms inside twisted teardrops gives it a feminine yet somewhat exotic feel to it. The reason it's so popular for the summer is it's botanical beauty. Thought to be inspired by the tropical seeming date palm tree, looking or wearing paisley can transport you to it's origins of India or Persia. The pattern is truly unpredictable, just like the woman wearing it!

So why the history lesson on paisley? Because you just don't see enough of it out there and it's our goal to change that this summer! So here are a few of our favorite paisley picks for you to embrace. Mix the print into your outfit with accessories, or go all out with our ever-so-soft dip dye burnout maxi. This maxi dress can also be worn as a skirt, and comes in this year's hottest color, emerald.

And here's a few tips for wearing paisley without looking like a hippie or worse, a tapestry you'd find in a college dorm:

Stick with bright beautiful colors or pastels and light, airy fabrics. Silk or sheer (but not see-through) cotton. That's why this print is so ideal for summer.

Finally, if you're going to wear paisley, be bold about it. This isn't a print you can (or should want to) hide! Wear it with other ethnic or floral prints, geometric jewelry or maybe even polka dots. Go where the twist takes you!
